On behalf of the federal government, the SNSF has introduced the SNSF Consolidator Grants 2022 as a new transitional measure for researchers who intended to apply for a 2022 ERC Consolidator Grant. This grant is aimed at international researchers and applicants based in Switzerland who want to conduct their research and consolidate their scientific independence in Switzerland. An SNSF Consolidator Grant comes after a PhD or an equivalent degree awarded >7 and ≤12 years ago at the time of submission. Applicants must have conducted independent research and made contributions to science without the involvement of their thesis supervisor. They can request a budget of up to CHF 1.75 million for a period of up to five years. Deadline: 1 June 2022. Further information in English, German and French.
