We would like to announce the 2019 TEDD Annual Meeting on the 24th October in Waedenswil. The topic of the Symposium will be cell sourcing and stem cells for drug development.

TEDD Annual Meeting 2019 First Announcement
Primary and stem cells are becoming important sources for the generation of organotypic tissue models used in many biopharmaceutical applications, regenerative medicine, disease modelling and drug discovery. During TEDD Annual Meeting 2019, we will discuss how stem cells have already been used in the drug discovery process and how novel technologies can be applied to attain widespread adoption of stem cell technology by the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. Several companies will exhibit during our famously long lunch break at the Greenhouse.

Dr. Markus Rimann, part of TEDD Team from the ZHAW Institute of Chemistry and Biotechnology (ICBT), has been elected to the Board of Animalfree Research. where he can promote alternative methods.
Interesting Conference
3D-Culture, Organoids & Tox Screening Europe 2019 brings together researchers from around the world focusing on the emerging technologies and applications of 3D-culture and organoids, especially as they are impacting drug discovery, toxicity screening and drug development processes.

Herbert Stiller Research Grant 2019
The grant is awarded for excellent innovative research focussing on the investigation and therapy of human diseases. Projects are supported that significantly contribute to medical progress by employing animal-free, human-based approaches. The funding amounts to € 20.000. Researchers from Germany and the German-speaking area are invited to submit their applications in German or English.
