| Microcredentials: Neuer Standard für Weiterbildungen |
| Die ZHAW führt Microcredentials ein – standardisierte Zertifikate für kompakte Bildungsangebote, welche die erworbenen Kompetenzen sichtbar, einfach verifizierbar und somit übertragbar machen. Ab dem 1. September werden diese digitalen Microcredentials an der ZHAW für die meisten Weiterbildungskurse (WBK) verfügbar sein: Ein wichtiger Schritt in Richtung Digitalisierung und europäische Vernetzung. |

| Professional Certificates auf edX |
| Bei edX trenden derzeit Professional Certificate Programs – das sind kurze, praxisnahe Kurse mit anerkanntem Zertifikat. Auch die ZHAW springt mit auf und bietet im Rahmen des Digital Campus kurze Online-Kurse auf swissmoocs und auf edX an. Als Professional Certificate Program läuft derzeit Sustainable Corporate Finance und bald Marketing Technology. |

| Alles besser mit KI-Chatbots? |
| KI-gestützte Chatbots und Lernassistenzsysteme bieten enormes Potential für die Bildung: Adaptive Lernbegleitung, ständige Verfügbarkeit, Unterstützung beim Erstellen von Kursinhalten. Kein Wunder, werden an der ZHAW unterschiedliche Bots entwickelt – über die Bildung hinaus. Gleichzeitig stellen sich Herausforderungen wie Datenschutz, Privacy und Urheberrecht. All das diskutieren wir am 18.9. am Anlass "Bots for Bildung" in der Zürcher Hochschul-Community. |

| SMOWL & SEB: Digitale Prüfungsaufsicht im Fokus |
| Die ZHAW setzt auf «Digital First» bei Prüfungen. E-Prüfungen in Moodle werden ergänzt durch Tools zur Sicherstellung der Prüfungsintegrität. Seit dem Herbstsemester ist hierfür neben dem Safe Exam Browser (SEB) auch die neue Software «SMOWL» im Einsatz. Im Rahmen einer Fortbildungsreihe informiert die Fachgruppe Lehrtechnologien und Didaktik zu den Möglichkeiten der technischen Absicherung von E-Prüfungen – und zu vielem mehr. |

Aber bald: Die Fachgruppe Administrationsprozesse Bildung des Ressorts Bildung hat an der Automatisierung für Anmeldungen in Evento gearbeitet und die Online-Anmeldungen in der Weiterbildung nehmen dieses Jahr ihren Dienst auf. | Microcredentials: New standard for continuing education |
| The ZHAW introduces microcredentials – standardised certificates for compact educational courses – that make the skills acquired visible, easy to verify and therefore transportable. From 1 September, these digital microcredentials will be issued for the majority of continuing education courses at the ZHAW: An important step towards digitalisation and European networking. |

| Professional Certificates on edX |
| Professional Certificate Programs are currently trending on edX - these are short, practical courses with a recognized certificate. The ZHAW is also jumping on board and offering short online courses on swissmoocs and edX as part of the Digital Campus. | Do AI chatbots make everything better? |
| AI-supported chatbots and learning assistants offer enormous potential for education: Adaptive learning guidance, constant availability, support in course content. It is no surprise that various bots are being developed at the ZHAW - beyond education. At the same time, there are challenges such as data protection, privacy and copyright. All these matters are discussed on 18.9. at the “Bots for Bildung” within the Zurich university community. |

| SMOWL & SEB: Focus on digital test monitoring |
| The ZHAW is focusing on “digital first” for assessments. E-exams in Moodle are supplemented by tools to ensure exam integrity. In addition to the Safe Exam Browser (SEB), the new “SMOWL” software has been in use for this purpose as of the fall semester. As part of a series of training courses, the Teaching Technologies and Didactics section provides information on the possibilities of securing e-exams technically - and much more. |

| Can't you do that yet? No, actually not, but soon. The Academic Affairs Administrative Processes section has been working on automating registrations in Evento: online registrations for continuing education courses will go live this year. What exactly does this digitalisation step entail? |

| How do we deal with digital skills for students at the ZHAW? Do we integrate them into the curriculum on a mandatory basis? Do we put together voluntary central offers for students?
