Die erste Digital Skills Week war ein voller Erfolg – über 780 Anmeldungen in vier Tagen! 🎉 Zum Auftakt sprach Rektorin Regula Jöhl über das Bild eines Schiffs auf hoher See: Nur gemeinsam lassen sich neue Ufer erreichen. In der anschliessenden Podiumsdiskussion wurde deutlich, dass digitale Transformation weit mehr als Technologie ist – sie erfordert Austausch, Fokus, eine offene Fehlerkultur und die Bereitschaft, den Wandel gemeinsam zu gestalten.

| Neuer Roboter an der ZHAW |
| Mit einem humanoiden Roboter setzen wir dieses Jahr in der Forschung einen Fokus auf «physical AI», um den interdisziplinären Diskurs über die Verkörperung der KI zu fördern. Am 3.9. trafen sich über 40 ZHAW-Angehörige am “ZHAW robotics kickoff”, diskutierten Anwendungsgebiete, sammelten Projektideen und stimmten über den Namen des Roboters ab. |

| Pilotprojekt SwissGPT: mit dir? |
| Seit letztem Jahr pilotieren wir SwissGPT, ein Tool, das explizit für die Arbeit mit vertraulichen Daten (aktuell noch nicht für besonders schützenswerte Daten) ausgelegt ist. Das Projekt wird explorativ weitergeführt und wir testen mögliche Anwendungen für die ZHAW. Wenn du aktiv an Use Cases arbeiten möchtest, bei denen ein hoher Datenschutz unabdingbar ist, dann fülle gerne das Formular aus. Du hörst dann von uns! |

| Dieser Kurs vermittelt, wie sich digitale Lernumgebungen wirksam und attraktiv gestalten lassen (Online- und Blended-Learning). Praxisnah wird vermittelt, wie kognitionswissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse mit Designstrategien verbunden werden, unterstützt durch das Tool myScipting und das Open-Access-Textbook Digital Learning Design. Der kostenlose Kurs umfasst 30 Stunden. Anmeldung bis 27.10.25. |

| Am 15.9.25 startet dieser offene und kostenlose Online-Kurs für Lehr- und Bildungsfachpersonen in Kooperation verschiedener europäischer Hochschulen. Internationale Teilnehmende arbeiten online in synchronen Meetings und asynchronen Phasen nach dem Problem Based Learning-Ansatz. Im Zentrum stehen praxisnahe Szenarien zu Themen wie Open Education, digitaler Teilhabe, Online-Zusammenarbeit und Blended Learning Design. |

| ZHAW KI-Markt |
| An unserem Jubiläumsanlass stimmten die Teilnehmenden für die Förderung dieses Projekts. Der KI-Markt macht sichtbar, wie Mitarbeitende an der ZHAW KI nutzen – ob zur Unterstützung im Arbeitsalltag, beim Ausfüllen von Anträgen, in der Forschung, bei der Prüfungsgestaltung oder in der Lehre. |

Dear reader,
The first Digital Skills Week was a total success – over 780 registrations in four days! 🎉 To kick things off, rector Regula Jöhl used the metaphor of a ship at sea to show that we can only reach new shores by working together. In the following panel discussion, it became clear that digital transformation is much more than just technology. It requires exchange, focus, an open culture towards mistakes, and a willingness to shape change together.

| Since last year, we've been piloting SwissGPT, a tool specifically designed for working with confidential data (currently not suitable for highly sensitive data). The project is being continued on an exploratory basis, and we're testing potential applications for ZHAW. | The “Digital Learning Design” course teaches how to design effective and attractive digital learning environments for online and blended learning. It shows how to combine cognitive science findings with proven design strategies, using the myScipting tool and the open-access textbook Digital Learning Design. The 30-hour course is free, registration is open until 27.10.25. |

| On 15.9.25 this open and free online course for teaching and education professionals will re-start in cooperation with various European universities. International participants work online in synchronous meetings and asynchronous phases according to the problem-based learning approach.
